Tilt and Turn windows are versatile double-action windows featuring single-handle operation. Simply turn the handle 90° and it swings in (this turn function may be key operated for safety), turn the handle 180° and it tilts into a secure position at the top providing ventilation and security.

Tilt and Turn windows are well-insulated because they have a multi-point locking system and tight seals, which effectively minimizes any heat loss during winters, lowers energy consumption and energy bills, and helps keep external noise out. Because these windows swing open unlike double hang windows, accessing either side is extremely effortless, allowing easy cleaning and maintenance.

They have an aesthetically pleasing design that is sleek and modern, making them a popular choice for big architectural projects and homeowners alike. Tilt and Turn windows also provide a secure option for homes with children or pets. When the window is tilted, it allows for just a small opening at the top which eliminates the risks of accidental falls without compromising on ventilation. All of our windows are made out of premium grade UPVC which ensures both long-lasting performance, and resistance to weather elements.

Modern Window Materials

UPVC. Premium performance at a great price.

Windows slide 9
Affordably priced and long-lasting, these low maintenance window frames are a good option. uPVC has been regarded as an almost miracle material that has made it a go-to source for many projects. The truth is UPVC is an excellent material that is not going to rust, flake or rot. Additionally, UPVC is one of the best for energy efficiency that offers double glazing and can achieve an A+12 Window Energy Rating. UPVC is a highly popular option for windows because it offers such good value for the money. However, it does not hold the same style and charm as other materials. It is possible to purchase UPVC that resembles a traditional timber frame. In fact, it is rather difficult to tell the difference. In the past, if you had windows, they were white. However, UPVC has changed all of that, offering a rainbow of colors that will last a lifetime without the need to repaint. In addition, a significant number of windows now contain lead-free UPVC, which was a health issue.

Triple Pane Windows

Triple pane windows with argon gas can provide double the energy efficiency (R-value) of double pane with argon gas. They also provide a large advantage in soundproofing of up to 8dB – 12dB more sound protection. The price difference between a double pane and a triple pane may be less than 10%.

Our simple triple pane glass units with argon gas have double the thermal properties of even the best dual pane products. They have a high R value of 8.1 – 8.7 as compared to the 3.5 – 4 on double pane glazing. The 3 panes of glass also provide a very good level of soundproofing. Our economical windows have an essential 33db to as compared to 26db difference in sound proofing. Very good for blocking out a high percentage of city and traffic noise. The triple panes of glass allow for sun protection to be done without tinting the glass. It also disperses the coating across 3 panes as opposed to 2. This allows for high sun protection to be invisible on triple pane windows. Without heavy heat-loaded glass panes.

Window Grids

Until the mid 1850s, glass was produced in small sizes and combined into large windows and doors using muntins (also called grilles or divided lites). While no longer economically necessary, dividing windows with muntins is still considered more architecturally attractive and particularly common in the United States and areas with historical British influence. OLANS offers three varieties of muntins to suit your sense of aesthetics and budget for any window, whether made of wood or vinyl or an aluminum clad one. The bars themselves are also available in different materials.

Window Hardware and Accessories

Hardware
A Comprehensive Range of High Quality Fittings

OLANS carries different hardware systems for windows and doors by the European manufacturers. These are frame independent and can be installed in vinyl, wood or aluminum clad windows. In the past, simple side hinged systems, known as casement windows, typically featured two hinges installed on one side of the window frame and a handle on the other. Today, modern window hardware run along all four sides of the frame and consist of a combination of cams, stays, restrictors and concealed hinges.
Handles

Window Handles

OLANS offers a wide selection of premium handles to match your style and needs. Handles play an important role in a window or door's overall security. Thus, based on your needs, area and the location of the window or door, you may opt for a locking handle.

With push button locks, pressure cylinders require a small button on the handle to be pushed in order to regulate whether the handle can be moved or not. These are great solution for homes with small children, particularly on upper floors or in non-ground floor apartments.

Similar to the window frame and glazing, window handles are available in many different designs. The most common models fitted are simple white vinyl handles. For a more elegant look, you can also choose from premium stainless steel or silver models. All of our window handles are available in a range of colors and finishes, in order to perfectly match any frame and interior.

OLANS offers the ability to customize your windows down to the last piece of hardware.
